Combining Coffee & Cake
I think I have always had a passion for baking. I can remember as a small girl baking with friends when they came over to play and can only imagine the state of the kitchen after these playdates!
When the idea for Coffee Cake and Culture was germinating, it never occurred to me that if people were coming into my home, I wouldn’t be serving them cake. Initially I started a spreadsheet with each cake I made for each class. This didn’t last long as the number of classes continually increased. Some of my early groups swear they have never had the same cake twice, although after over 10 years of coming to CCC I don’t know if this is true!
Whatever the case, we all joke that they come for the cake and the music is an added extra!
I am one of the very lucky people who can really say that all my loves combine in Coffee Cake and Culture. The love of music, the love of education, the love of history and especially the love of BAKING!
